The classes are primarily taught by MWU students, faculty, and staff who are trained in the activity.

Comment on New DG Recreation & Wellness Center

Does it have yoga classes?

Comment on CCOM Remembers a Legend: Dr. Robert Kistner

As a proud 1976 graduate of CCOM, I was greatly influenced by Robert A. Kistner, DO, MD. He was always open to questions, extraordinarily helpful, and down to earth.
It was he and Dr. Craske who used their MD degree to insure that COH could continue to operate. As Dean for 25 years, I feel he absolutely carried the college to a new level. Most importantly Dr. Kistner was a friendly person who was always approachable and helped me personally on several occasions. CCOM would not be one of the leading osteopathic colleges in the United States without his leadership. I extend my personal thoughts and prayers to the entire Kistner family. Dr. Kistner was truly a role model that all of us can seek to emulate.

Comment on It's Graduation Season, and Today was Mine

Congrats Doc!
I am so proud of you ! It is true that when the school first started in 1996, we did have challenges finding sufficient hospital rotations in Arizona, as our curriculum was based on a preceptor model. However, over the past few years, we now have quality hospital sites for all of our core rotations. Likewise, we have a process whereby all elective rotations are reviewed and approved by our clinical chairs, which has been in place for several years. Despite the evolution of the clinical training program at AZCOM, since our inaugural class, our students have attained passing rates on their Part II Board exams in the range of 98% to 100% consistently. Thus, we have every confidence that our students have received quality clinical training, as evidenced by these results.

Comment on Guatemala Day 3: Medical Mission at San Vincente Pacaya

I heard from some of your former students that your university doesn't provide a good rotation program, like rotations in the hospitals. Also, if students find rotations on their own, these rotations are not approved. Do you have any plans to improve this unfortunate to the students situation? How can you train a high quality physicians without supporting them by providing a solid training in the hospitals? I think your school should review concerns that your students express about improvements in the rotation program. Training people that are responsible for the human life should be a high priority!Attending classes and passing tests is important, but a solid experience that hospitals offer is valuable as well.

Comment on A Study of Gender of Osteopathic Medical Students, aka My Dissertation

Whop, Whop, Congratulations, Dr. Johnson!
